After months of work, we’re proud to unveil the latest update to our free text / clicker / loot game, Godsblade. The 1.1 update (aka “Re:Loaded“) is now live at http://www.godsblade.com and contains numerous new features and fixes. Please see the notes below.

Re:Loaded update
This update is focused on adding depth to the game experience, Quality of Life changes, incorporating requests and bug fixes.
- Weapon changes
- Most weapons now have upgrade paths
- Visit new vendor Salotti in Priory to upgrade weapons
- Upgraded weapons retain half the invested levels (example: if you are upgrade a Level 50 Guerilla Fighter, the upgraded weapon will be Level 25)
- Upgrades cost Cores and Zil
- Upgrades will roll with new perks available for that weapon
- Upgrades are not reversible
- Most weapons upgrades can still drop from monsters; however they will drop at Level 1
- Weapons can now gain XP and be leveled up
- Weapons cap at level 999
- Weapons gain a damage buff as they level
- Weapons gain XP faster than players
- Existing Weapons in a Player’s inventory will be granted XP equal to half the Player’s Level upon first load after the update
- UI for Weapon Select now reflects Weapon levels
- Most weapons now have upgrade paths
- Armor Changes
- Armor can now be Enhanced up to Level 999
- Each level increases the bonuses provided by that armor (Def/HP/AP) by roughly 10% each level
- Visit the new vendor Salotti in Priory to enhance armor
- Armor that has been enhanced to Level 100+ nullifies its elemental weakness
- Most armors now have elemental weaknesses
- Requires Cores and Zil
- Monsters
- Enemies now attack with new moves and patterns
- Enemies have 4 attacks each
- Each attack has a different multiplier and damage value
- Each attack will have certain text output associated with it
- Over 170 monster attacks have been added to the game
- Gameplay
- Multi-monster quests have replaced “Rush” quests
- Instead of racing one monster after another, some quests have you facing multiple monsters simultaneously
- You can select which enemy to attack by tapping on them (current target is denoted by a “star” icon)
- Quests can now have special conditions associated with them:
- The Floor is Lava: Every round, take Fire damage.
- Global Warming: Every round, take Ice damage.
- Boogie Woogie Woogie: Every round, take Electricity damage.
- Four Twenty: Every round, take Stone damage.
- Darkest Timeline: Every round, take Dark damage.
- Carol Anne’s Salvation: Every round, take Light damage.
- Oprah Miracle: Every round, either side randomly receives healing.
- Uncommon Ground: Every round, take random elemental damage.
- Supernova Blues: Enemy has an unstable charge that will go critical every 5 rounds.
- Chickens are the Bomb: Chickens will spawn on a timer, and must be destroyed with a particular element before blowing up.
- A new Quest category, “Event”, has been added
- Events drop tickets that can be traded towards a new Epic weapon, armor and relic available from Vashelia
- 10 new Titles can drop from the Events as well
- Each Event showcases a certain new special condition (mentioned above)
- New Difficulty Levels are now available under Menu > Settings
- Difficulties increase a monster’s HP, Attack, Defense, XP & Zil according to the multiplier below. It will also increase chances at rewards.
- Normal: Default difficulty
- Hard: 2x multiplier
- Bloodthirsty: 4x multiplier
- Inferno: 8x multiplier
- Abyssal: 16x multiplier
- Player and Weapon level gains are now immediate, instead of being processed a level at a time
- This is due to how XP works in higher difficulties
- The Lore screen will now display entries giving insight into the game world, background and events.
- Lore will be included as future unlockables through quest completions and other activities.
- The AVA block will now display the currently selected difficulty
- Base multiplier for a player’s level being applied to damage has been increased from 5 to 8.
- Elemental damage reduced from 33% to 20%.
- Multi-monster quests have replaced “Rush” quests
- UI
- Godsblade now has a logo and icon
- The “About” screen now displays the new game logo
- Favicon support added
- Added support for icons on mobile devices when adding the game page to the Desktop from the browser.
- Locked areas and quests now display “???” instead of the name / location
- The damage displayed on the Character screen under the equipped weapon now takes into account its Weapon Level.
- The damage displayed on the Weapon Select screen now takes into account its Weapon Level.
- The Redeem button has been removed from the menu
- Challenges have been moved from the AVA screen to their own, accessible via Menu > Challenges.
- Challenges have been divided into tabs: Game, Kills I, Kills II, and Lore.
- The Lore tab has been moved from the AVA screen to its own, accessible via Menu > Lore.
- The Compendium format has been retired.
- You can now see a monster’s weakness (if discovered) listed beneath their name during combat.
- The Changelog has received an upgrade and is now in HTML format.
- 8 new Themes have been added:

- Waikawa Fog
- Grey Cells Green
- Black and Tan

- Bug Fixes
- Fixed a bug where quests requiring a specific element for monster kills were not being marked complete when using multi-element weapons
- Fixed a bug during the CrossSave process where importing previously exported data wasn’t being checked for differences in case it had been exported in an older version
- Fixed a bug where loading Vashelia’s Special Trades did not scroll the window to the top
- Fixed a visual bug where the default tab on Vashelia’s Special Trades screen was not highlighted when loading it
